About Brad & IAS Training
In 1996, after spending a year writing his first book and developing his own sales training program and sales management systems, Brad Huisken started IAS Training. IAS Training began in February of 1996 and has grown significantly through the years to where Brad is now an internationally known sales and sales management trainer, speaker, and consultant.
Brad started his training career in 1986 working for a couple of different retail training and consulting companies. At the last company he was a sales representative, becoming national sales manager after two years. Two years after that, Brad was named Vice President of Sales for the organization. He helped grow this organization by several million dollars in annual sales through his length of employment.
Brad Huisken started his retail career in 1972 selling shoes at a nationally known retail shoe chain store. After 6 months, he was promoted to assistant manager and six months later entered their management-training program. In 1974, he successfully managed his first store and was promoted to a larger volume store in 1975. Through his success, he was named as one of ten managers to start the new athletic shoe division in 1976, opening the 10th store in the chain. This chain grew to become the #1 athletic shoe retailer in the U.S., and a Fortune 500 company. In 1980, he was named the youngest district manager in the organization and had a district that covered 33 stores in 9 states.
He won numerous awards including: Manager of the Year, Manager Trainer of the Year, several “Big Trip” contests for sales increases, numerous inventory control awards, several $100,000 sales increase awards. He also trained numerous people that went on to become managers and district managers with this organization. In 1985, he took the position of General Manager of an independently owned chain of athletic shoe stores where he posted tremendous sales increases.
